En nuestra vida cotidiana nosotros, utilizamos los recursos naturales para satisfacer nuestras necesidades, esto ocurre desde hace millones de años, desde la aparición los primeros seres humanos. Aunque en esos tiempo se hacia de una manera muy precaria y cuando era necesario, esto a ido cambiando. Cada vez la población mundial ha ido creciendo mas y de la misma manera la cantidad de recursos naturales que sacamos de la naturaleza. y aunque en un principio no parecía, esto deja una huella en el planeta en el vivimos, que es único e irreemplazable. Todo esto que fuimos tomando y utilizando genera consecuencia en el medio ambiente y las mismas se comienzan a ver. Últimamente estos recursos se están utilizando mas de lo necesario y generan mayor daño al planeta. Lo que esta imagen representa es que  hoy ya se formo un negocio en base a los mismos, del que todos formamos parte y no podemos salir. Nos tomo a todos como prisioneros. Hoy lo que mas le preocupa a la mayor parte de las personas es conseguir dinero, para poder adquirir estos recursos, y otras personas se encargan de venderlos para de esta manera tener aun más dinero. En eso se  basa la sociedad de hoy en día en el dinero. El código de barras que representa todos los productos que consumimos, ya que todos los mismos se identifican con uno de esos.

Mitigación, por mi y por lasgeneraciones futuras.

Por mitigación podemos entender que es una acción que se hace para que los efectos negativos de acciones anteriores sea menor, suavizar el efecto negativo.

La mitigación debe ser llevada a cabo por las grandes empresas y fábricas que generan la mayor parte del impacto ambiental. Pero también la podemos hacer todos nosotros y de esa manera cuidar lo que es nuestro, lo que es de los demás y lo que va hacer de nuestras generaciones futuras. Este cambio se puede emplear en nuestras vidas cotidiana de manera muy simple. Algunos ejemplo de mitigación que se pueden aplicar a nuestro dia a dia son reducir el uso de energía, utilizando focos ahorradores y también apagando todo aquel
artefacto que necesite de energía para funcionar y que en el momento no está siendo utilizado.

Otra manera es aplicar el reciclado de materiales como el plástico, el vidrio y el papel. Por último otra opción de mitigación que se puede aplicar a nuestra vida cotidiana es utilizar menos los autos y caminar más, en especial en trayectos que son cortos.

Consumo Responsable vs Consumismo

A continuación dejo un mapa conceptual que habla acerca del consumo responsable y de lo que se debe hacer para ser buen consumidor para el medio ambiente.

Disculpenos generaciones futuras

Desde hace miles de años los humanos nos consideramos la raza más inteligente y de mayor capacidad. Sin embargo esto no siempre se refleja en nuestros comportamientos. Nos creemos dueños de la tierra. Sin embargo la maltratamos día a día, destruyéndola cada vez más a cada minuto . Todo esto solo por DINERO,un pedazo de papel o antes que el oxígeno que nos permite respirar, por eso destruimos la mitad de los arboles del planeta, "Si crees que la economía es más importante que el medio ambiente, intenta aguantar la respiración mientras cuentas tu dinero" dijo Janez Potocnik actualmente ocupa el cargo de comisario de Medio Ambiente, o el agua que nos es indispensable. Le damos un valor mayor a cosas secundarias mientras que desperdiciamos las mas importantes.

  Me da miedo por los que vienen, saber que vivimos en un planeta tan hermoso, tan útil para nuestra vida el cual desperdiciamos y tratamos como si no nos importara y como si no lo necesitáramos, como si no fuera lo que nos permite vivir.por nuestra culpa no tendrán el derecho de hacerlo. Pero más que nada me gustaría poder pedirle perdón a los animales, al suelo, al agua y a todo lo que contaminamos poco a poco a lo largo de nuestra historia. Pero también a las generaciones futuras que por nuestra culpa no vana poder disfrutar de fabuloso animales, o hermosos paisajes. Por los bosques o océanos que ya no podrán disfrutar. Por todo lo que nos llevamos por encima como si fuéramos los dueños de la tierra y ella no nos importara ni un poco.

Conservatoción vs Extinción

 Las especies se extinguen o pasan a ser poblaciones muy pequeñas por varias razones, pero la causa principal es la destrucción del hábitat debido a actividades humanas. Las posibles causas que puede conllevar a una o varias especies al riesgo de extinción pueden ser:

Contaminación :contaminación de hábitats naturales debido a la acción del hombre-

Caza/pesca  indiscriminada:acto para satisfacer necesidades no esenciales, o que son esenciales pero se hacen sin tomar en cuenta los posibles problemas a futuro-
Deforestación: cortar o talar bosques enteros para alimentar a la industria, llevando a la extinción de algunas especies de plantas forestales y obligando a algunas especies a desplazarse -
Introducción de nuevas especies: este acto es hecho por el hombre, para obtener ciertos recursos más fácil entre otras ventajas. Pero no se toma en cuenta las consecuencias que puede traer introducir nuevas especies (depredadoras o presas), puede causar la pérdida y modificación del terreno y el desplazamiento de algunas o especies.
Claramente somos la causa común de todas las extinciones, las mismas están ligadas a la acción y la intervención del hombre. Desde la explotación para la producción de carne hasta la explotación forestal, la gran mayoría están ligadas al humano.
Especies introducidas a América, por parte de los conquistadores, y sus funciones:

Competencia entre especies:
 La introducción del ciervo colorado en el palmar de Colón en Entre Rios provocará la extincion del ciervo de la pampas ya que se quedará sin alimento por ser de menor tamaño. En esta competencia hay escasez de competidores y derivara en un desplazamiento a gran escala.
Riesgos de la introducción de especies exóticas:
la introducción de truchas y salmones en lagos y ríos del sur podrían causar:
contaminación del agua: la alimentación de estas especies es rica en fósforo el cual se deposita en el fondo de los ríos y lagos.
contaminación por enfermedades: estas especies tienen enfermedades que se combaten con antibióticos los cuales al dispersarse en el agua contaminan a otras especies.
  

El Riachuelo mata en silencio

La cuenca matanza riachuelo es el río más grande en Argentina y uno de los más contaminado alrededor del mundo. Este nace en la provincia de Buenos Aires y desemboca en el Río de la Plata, tiene una longitud aproximada de 60 km y cubre una superficie de 2200  km² Comprende a la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires y 14 municipios de la provincia de Buenos Aires: Almirante Brown, Avellaneda, Cañuelas, Esteban Echeverría, Ezeiza, La Matanza, Lanús, Las Heras, Lomas de Zamora, Marcos Paz, Merlo, Morón, Presidente Juan D. Perón y San Vicente. La cuenca se divide en tres sectores; baja (altamente urbanizada), media (periurbano) y alta (rural y donde existen condiciones ambientales regulares).

El rápido crecimiento de la población afecta a la mega ciudad ya que Buenoa Aires no es una provincia del todo preparada para abastecer las necesidades del área urbana como el transporte, las viviendas, la provisión de un sistema de distribución de agua potable y de cloacas, la distribución de comida y energía, como tampoco la disposición de residuos domiciliarios e industriales. El aumento en la población requiere de un movimiento más amplio en la ciudad y en consecuencia aumenta la contaminación ambiental la cual si bien nos afecta a todos, las personas con un bajo nivel económico son las más influenciadas. El
9,16 % de los argentinos viven cerca de la cuenca Matanza Riachuelo que ocupa tan sólo

un 0,6 % del territorio nacional. En la zona afectada viven 5 millones de habitantes, de los cuales el 35% de la población no tiene agua potable y el 55% no posee cloacas. Estas personas no tienen una vivienda digna y son expuestas dia a dia a distintas enfermedades, entre ellas predominan las cardiovasculares y las dérmicas, los tumores y diarreas, ocasionadas por el contacto o el consumo de aguas contaminadas que entre otras sustancias, poseen metales pesados y nitratos. Las malas condiciones sanitarias, el deterioro de la calidad de las aguas subterráneas y las recurrentes inundaciones que afectan las zonas bajas acentúan la transmisión y el contagio. Debemos de ser conscientes de la toxicidad del río y del peligro de salud que este provoca

En la cuenca Matanza Riachuelo hay radicadas más de 4000 industrias, algunas de estas utilizan en sus procesos de producción de sustancias tóxicas como metales pesados y compuestos organicos sinteticos, estas industrias en vez de reemplazar estas sustancias por otras, colocar una planta de tratamiento o pagar un servicio de recolección de residuos peligrosos, vierten esas sustancias directamente al sistema cloacal y pluvial. Los vertidos son conducidos por la red cloacal a la planta depuradora. Esta planta al carecer de sistemas de tratamiento para estas sustancias, las arrojan sin ningún control al curso del río. Otras industrias, que se ubican en los márgenes del río vierten sus descargas directamente en el y otras industrias vierten hacia los arroyos que finalmente desembocan en el río principal.

A pesar de ser el río más contaminado en el país, hay tiempo de revertirlo, no es un caso perdido, no hay que bajar los brazos y accionar al igual que el proyecto Acumar que ya hace varios años trabaja en limpiar la cuenca. Con responsabilidad y voluntad cada uno puede ayudar desde su posición para que esto se revierta y para reducir el impacto generado. No hay solo un responsable, todos somos culpables pero aún hay tiempo de remediarlo.

Uber y su efecto en Argentina

Con el correr del tiempo las tecnologías cambian y en los últimos años las nuevas tecnologías han avanzado exponencialmente sobre todo para facilitar las tareas que la gente debe realizar diariamente. Hoy en día desde el alcance de nuestro celular podemos realizar tareas que antes llevaban mucho mas tiempo y esfuerzo. Por ejemplo nosotros en todo momento que tengamos nuestro celular encima, mediante aplicaciones, además de comunicarnos fácil y rápidamente, también podemos pedir turnos en distintos lugares, comprar ropa y hasta ordenar comida.

  Una de las últimas aplicaciones que llegó a nuestro país fue Uber, es una aplicación para teléfonos inteligentes,que puede ser descargada de forma gratuita, esta app controla el servicio de taxis y transporte privado. Dando así una alternativa más económica a esas personas que deben utilizar servicio de taxis todos los días. Mediante un gps, Uber busca el auto más cercano a tu ubicación para que el mismo te recoja en la menor cantidad de tiempo y te lleve al destino deseado.

  Uber es una aplicación que funciona internacionalmente desde el año 2009, y ahora que llegó a la Argentina está generando controversias en la población. La misma se generó a partir de que los conductores de Uber quienes, a diferencia de los taxistas, no tienen que pagar licencias para poder transportar pasajeros. Es por esto que los taxistas están en contra de esto y quieren hacer que el servicio deje de funcionar.

  Lo que esto generó fue una gran oleada de protestas y cortes, a lo largo de todo capital federal. Esta es la manera en que los taxistas dicen “presente” y piden ser escuchados por la justicia parq que se lleve a cabo un procedimiento para dejar a Uber fuera de servicio.

  Sin embargo esto no se encuentra bien encaminado ya que el juez Zelaya desestimó una denuncia efectuada con los taxistas frente a 33 conductores de Uber. La misma la hicieron sobre la base de que los mismos entorpecen el transporte, desobediencia, competencia desleal, instigación a cometer delitos y asociación ilícita. Aunque el juez consideró que no es delito conducir un Uber, también dijo que desde la llegada de Uber el orden del transporte no se vio alterado ni recibió quejas por parte de los clientes.

  Según el Derecho del Trabajo, hay relación laboral cuando una persona por su propia voluntad realiza cierta tarea para otro persona o empresa, recibiendo una remuneración a cambio. Sumado a que conducir un Uber no es ilegal esto es una oportunidad para que gente con desempleo  que no tiene acceso al trabajo o gente que quiere tener un ingreso extra en sus tiempos libres puede hacerlo.

 Por otra parte las oficinas de Uber fueron allanadas, al igual que los gerentes. Fueron secuestradas computadoras, celulares y trámites bancarios. A pesar de esto el servicio no dejará de funcionar ya que la aplicación no funciona desde esta oficina.

 Para finalizar se podría decir que la reacción de los taxistas no fue positiva frente a la llegada de la aplicación, y esto generó caos en la ciudad por algunos días; el gobierno apoya a los taxistas sin embargo todavía no encontraron un argumento válido para que el mismo deje de funcionar, ya que no es ilegal. En mi opinión Uber tendría que poder funcionar libremente en nuestro país mientras que siga siendo legal y seguro. Teniendo las tarifas más bajas que los taxis. y el método de pago automático con tarjeta de crédito.

Meiosis

La Meiosis es proceso de división celular que se relaciona con la reproducción sexual. Este proceso consiste en la duplicación de la célula, en la meiosis el organismo celular se separa en dos y luego este en dos más, en el proceso de metamorfosis, la nueva parte generada se forma y evoluciona en otra igual, con las mismas características, funciones e identidad, esta es la manera en que los gametos, espermatozoides y óvulos, son formados. El proceso de meiosis se lleva a cabo dentro de los órganos reproductores. Este proceso está formado por cuatro etapas:

1) Interfase: en esta etapa es cuando el ADN se separa en dos partes, por lo tanto aumenta su tamaño.Este el comienzo de la meiosis.

2) Profase: Los cromosomas moleculares se cruzan, dejando que la identidad de cada una de las fases se separe, desaparece la membrana celular, el diploide ya está listo para tomar forma.

3) Anafase: Estos cromosomas se dirigen a los polos del nuevo cuerpo celular que fue formado y hacen su nueva vida.

4) Telofase: En la última etapa, se forma  la membrana celular de estas dos nuevas células creadas, esta membrana se forma por separado.En esta etapa cada una tiene su propio material genético, siendo independientes de cada una, se procede a la formación y a la producción de más células por este mismo proceso de meiosis.

1. The boy sees masks on the faces of the people in the train. Later he sees similar masks on the faces of the children in his fantasy. What is the meaning of that?

The meaning is tat the same for both situations, they are victims of a system. The white masks symbolizes that no matter who the person is, they are treated as if they don't feel anything, like robots that have to follow a structure no matter what. They don't have the opportunity of saying their thoughts, they have to continue with an order.

2. The riot scene ends and the camera returns to the boy in the classroom as the children recite the lesson. Think of a possible explanation for this.

The explanation could be that despite the children are reciting the lesson he doesn't forget what their thoughts and feelings are and he still has hope.

3. What kind of education does the movie portray? Use the song “The happiest days of our lives” to help you.

In the movie education is seen as a way to break what makes children unique and different. An education that is not real but is manipulative. Teachers are shown with absolute authority and power and they use it to humiliate their students by mocking the way of thinking or by hurting them if they do something they aren't supposed to. That is not a way of teaching, they are forced to learn a rude way.


4. Education is only one of the various social institutions the movie deals with. What others did you notice and how are they portrayed?

The movie apart from education also deals with work, family and society. Showing a rigid order and structure that, no matter wha,t it could not be break. This reflection remembers us to the part where the singer was feeling bad, he can't even move but anyway its duty and responsibility is to go to that concert.

5. We, in Argentina, often rely on education to solve most of our social problems. We blame education, or the lack of it, for many of them. Consider the huge success (described in the text below) of the song “Another brick in the wall” which claims “we don’t need no education” and compare it to what you think about education.

We believe that as much as in Argentina and in other countries, education is very important, it is what allows us to grow as a society and also the lack of it is to blame for some problems as a hole. We are in favor of education, but one like nowaday, one that allows you to grow in knowledge and  as a person. a healthy education that takes your way of thinking and open new possibilities regarding it.

6. Up to what extent is education a way of “thought control”?

We think that education have lot to be with thought controlled, manly in children where theirs minds are still moldeables. One the other hand, nowadays teachers can not control our minds as they could at that time, because we can give our position and point of view.

7. Explain the meaning of the double-hammer symbol. Use the scene “In the flesh” to answer.

The meaning of the double-hammer is because the hammer can be use for only two things, opposite things, built and construct. Two facts that are constantly shown in the movie, for example we can relation the double-hammer with the education the children receive, where all their thoughts and ways of thinking are destroyed so as to construct new ideas.

8. The children falling into the meat grinder is a visual metaphor that makes a powerful point. What is the metaphor and what point does it make?

For us that visual image is a symbol of hopeless, of accepting that they can't do nothing at respect. They knew there is a way of learning that will not change where their creativity and imagination are prohibited, they don't have freedom of expression and their minds are completely washed and ruined.

9. What is the wall? Can you say whether it is a good thing or not?

In our opinion the wall can represent two ideas;
The wall could be a division, could be the thing that separated the different thoughts and behaviours on the other hand could be related with the society being created at that time, all with the same way of thinking and with their minds manipulated ending up being a cold and equal brick in the wall.

L’Alliance Française

L’Alliance Française

Le mardi 17 mai, nous avons visité L´Alliance française. Nous avons partis de l'école à huit heures vers le centre ville, et bien, le voyage a été très long et fatigant, nous étions désireux d'arriver.

Plus tard, nous trouvons un bâtiment élégant et très joli. Nous avons ensuite être divisés en deux groupes d'étudiants sur notre niveau de français (DELF A1 ou A2). Tandis qu'un groupe est allé à la médiathèque, l'autre a vu des vidéos différentes dans une salle, une classe de compréhension de l’orale. Nous avons participé et aussi nous avons parlé française mais timidement.  Les deux groupes ont traversé ces expériences amusantes et agréables mais malheureusement ces activités ont duré peu de temps. La visite a été excellente et nous avons appris beaucoup!

United States coldest case murder conviction

The kidnapping and murder of Maria Ridulph was the oldest cold open case to reach the courts in the history of the United States.

Starting point: 

On December 3rd 1957, 7 year old, Maria Ridulph was abducted from Sycamore, Illinois. After dinner Maria was playing in the snow with her friend Kathy Sigman when a young man who called himself “Johnny” approached the girlies and offer them a piggyback ride. A few minutes later, Kathy went to her house to fetch her gloves because is was freezing outside but when she came back Johnny and Maria were nowhere to be seen. 

Looking for Maria:   

Kathy went to the Ridulph’s house to tell everybody what had happened. Chuck, Maria’s older brother went outside to look for the girly but there was not any signal. Rapidly, the men ran to the house of Ralph and Eileen Tessier (two blocks from the Ridulph). Ralph had a hardware store and the idea was to carry on with the search asking the owner to collaborate with flashlights.

Police investigation:

The following days, the police questioned Eileen Tessier about the events of December 3. John stepsisters heard how his mother told the police something they knew it was not true: that John had been home all night. 

In addition, there were conflicting reports about the exact time of the disappearance of Maria. The Sycamore police chief told FBI agents that Kathy and Maria had gone out to play at 18:02, but the county sheriff said Maria had not called Kathy until 18:30. Maria's mother later changed his statement and said the girls could have gone outside even at 17:50. 

Kathy Sigman spent hours watching carefully the pictures of people on file by the police, but could not find Johnny. 

The local police was sure no one in Sycamore could have done such a thing. It had to be an action done by a trucker or someone passing by. The FBI was not so sure. There were several potential suspects in the village. Police questioned all "known sexual deviants". They investigated a voyeur and followed clues that led up to two men nicknamed "Commando" and "Mr. X”. 

Maria’s body is found: 

Five months later Maria's body appeared, 190 kilometers from her home. A man found his skeleton under a fallen tree on a farm. The cause of death couldn’t be determined.

John Tessier/ Jack Mccullough 

The FBI initially showed interest in Tessier as a suspect, a boy from the neighbourhood nicknamed “Commando”. Three days after Maria disappeared, an anonymous woman warned that a young man named "Teschner" who lived in the neighborhood matched with the description of the suspect. A pair of FBI agents showed up at the Tessier house.

Tessier told them then, and continues stating today, he was in Rockford, Illinois, about 65 kilometers northwest of Sycamore, when they kidnapped Maria. His parents supported his story, and was verified by an irrefutable fact: someone who gave his name made a call from Rockford to the Tessier’s house at 18:57, on 3 December 1957.

There was much discussion about the time of the disappearance of Maria. If the kidnap was done around 19:00, then Tessier had an armored alibi. But if they did around 18:15, then something not locked. John could have gone to Rockford Sycamore car and having arrived at 19:00 before disposing Maria’s body. 

No one disputes that John traveled to Chicago for a physical test at the military recruiting center. Tessier said he was walking around Chicago the afternoon of December 3, stood in a cabaret show and then went to Rockford to leave the papers in the recruitment center. Recruiters confirm that they saw by the office between 19:15 and 19:30 that afternoon.

Two days after the FBI interrogated Tessier, he was subjected to the lie detector test. When asked if he had ever had sex with children, Tessier admitted having been involved in "some kind of sex play" with a girl but had occurred several years before. He stated that the episode was over and had no relationship with Maria.

Those details did not raise suspicions at the time. Nor the contradictory versions of his mother when she told the police that his son was home all night and the FBI that was in Rockford that night. Finally, an FBI agent concluded his report by emphasizing: "There will not be other research related to this suspect”

New Investigation: 

In January 1994, Eileen Tessier was on the verge of death but she had a secret she didn't want to take to the grave. "Janet!" She called her daughter, according to the statement made to the court itself many years later. Janet ran to her mother's bed. Eileen grabbed her wrist and spoke.

 “That girl who disappeared. It was John. You have to tell someone.” Although Janet was a baby when her neighbor of seven years disappeared in 1957, she knew immediately what her mother was confessing, her brother, John kidnapped and killed Maria Ridulph.

It was a decade later when Janet Tessier tried one last time after several denies to tell her testimony. She sent an email to the Police of Illinois: "A seven year old girl named Maria Ridulph disappeared. Her remains were found in early spring of 1958. I think John Tessier, of Sycamore, is responsible for her death. Today he lives around Seattle under the name of Jack McCullough. "

Her urge caught the attention of a boss. He called Janet and she told him how her mother had told her on the deathbed that his brother had kidnapped and killed Maria. "I can not promise anything," said the police chief, "but we will try."

 He assigned the case to two men, Larry Kot and Brion Hanley. Kot, 57, was a civilian analyst and worked for the police in Illinois. “I had never heard of the case Ridulph”, but soon he gathered information that cast doubt on the suspect's alibi.

Brian Hanley, 41, made the preliminary work and began by Janet Tessier and her brothers. None had nothing good to say about John, especially Jeanne who was sexually abused at the age of 14 by John.

Crime Chronology:

Tessier said he was in Chicago on Tuesday morning December 3, getting a medical checkup. Kot found that it was true. But he realised that Tessier left the recruitment center at noon. He was later seen in Rockford, almost 150 kilometers from Chicago, about 19:15. But there was no witness to verify his whereabouts between noon and 19:15, which meant he could have easily gone back to Sycamore before appearing in Rockford. Kot examined the account of another witness, the dealer of heating oil. The man knew Kathy Sigman and her family and remembered that the girl had greeted him when he was delivering fuel into a nearby house. He arrived there at 18hrs and was 15 to 20 minutes unloading the oil. When he left, about 18:20, he did not see the girls.

Kot concluded that Maria had been kidnapped before 18:20. If Tessier parked his car in the back entrance, where they found the doll Maria, Rockford could have been addressed directly with the girl in her car. It was a journey of 64 kilometers, and could have come to Rockford in less than an hour.

The call made from Rockford to the house of Tessier, was a key part of John alibi also fit into this new timeline. Phone records showed that the call was made at 18:57 but did not point from which place of Rockford had been realized. Tessier could have called home from a pay phone outside the village.It may be that Tessier's alibi was not as infallible after all.

 Arrest:

Hanley took six photos and placed them on the table. Five of them had been removed from Sycamore school yearbook. The photo of John Tessier was a little different. Kathy eliminated several pictures immediately but looked at two: No. 1 and No. 4. He studied for two long minutes. "He is," she finally said, noting the number 4. I had no doubt. Now the detectives had a real suspect. It was time to visit to "Johnny".

 Seattle two policemen who had joined the case learned that the "person in question" worked in a block of apartments for elderly people. He called himself Jack McCullough because he had changed the name in the early 90's when he married his fourth wife, Sue, for nearly two decades.

He was a former policeman. The agents examined his file and discovered a lurid past. They learned that he had been dismissed from the police after being accused of abusing a child under 15 years who had run away from home. They also found out about the photo of her 11 year old daughter naked hidden in the bottom of a drawer. Police arrest McCullough on June 29, 2011. Jack McCullough returned to Sycamore handcuffed on July 27, 2011, the same day authorities exhumed the body of Maria Ridulph.

McCullough would face trial for rape before facing trial for the murder of Maria.

Judge Robbin Stuckert raised many doubts after people tell their testimonies which were related to John’s dirty and obscure attitudes. He wondered why the applicant had waited decades to publicize the crime. But the verbal war between Stuckert and Campbell led the judge to withdraw from the murder trial. The case was referred to Judge James C. Hallock.

During the trial, in September 2012, the statement Kathy Sigman on stage was decisive when retold how a stranger who called himself Johnny offered them a piggyback ride, and how Maria and Johnny disappeared when she went home to find her mittens.

Kathy stood firm when she was shown the six pictures of the suspects she had already seen in 2010. Janet Tessier testified about the statement of her mother on her deathbed.

Then three prison informers confirmed that in a conversation with McCullough, he had admitted that he had killed Maria. The trial lasted four days. No McCullough took the stand, so he could not present his alibi. The judge issued the verdict. Guilty on all counts: murder, kidnapping and abduction of a child. And Johnny went to prison.

  

 Jack McCullough, 76, was serving a life sentence for the 1957 murder of 7-year-old Maria Ridulph. Judge William Brady threw out the conviction after a prosecutor found "clear and convincing evidence" that McCullough was wrongly found guilty.

McCullough's lawyers and DeKalb County state's attorney Richard Schmack argued that McCullough's conviction was based on false testimony, improper legal rulings controlling the evidence presented, and a timeline that was tweaked some 50 years after the fact to rule out McCullough's alibi.

McCullough has long insisted that he couldn't possibly have abducted and killed the child because he was 40 miles away in Rockford, Illinois, talking to recruiters and trying to enlist in the U.S. Air Force when she was taken. The prisoner was set free 

Expertise

  The term "expertise" makes reference to specialist knowledge and skill in a particular field. It results from training and experience. We usually think that experts are reliable and credible source. Though their knowledge is only applicable for a particular area, we often believe they are always right and that there's no room for mistakes.

  In items A and B we can see that what is criticized to doctors that they focus in helping to cure an illness only certain cases and not to all the population. And by focusing in certain cases they don’t pay attention to the real causes of illnesses.

  In Item C we can we can see the view of Dr. Samuel Cartwright in 1851, black people who suffered of an illness they called “drapetomania”. This consists of the “mania”, or need, of slaves to seek freedom. As we all know this is not a real illness, the problem that black people have is that they were treated as a slave and not as a person.

  Item D shows how gay people were treated as if they had a mental disorder, as if they were diferents because they are guy, even though in reality they did not. Gay people in that time were not acceptable so doctors were pushed to put an illness name to their problem.
In conclusion,  expert's credibility can be judged. In each case analyzed we can see how time can affect expertis, and how society imposes doctors to give a “problem” the name of an illness.

Huella Ecologica

"No se puede resolver un problema con la misma mente lo creo. Se tiene que aprender a ver el mundo otra vez" Albert Einstein

Cuando Albert Einstein dijo esto, no se está refiriendo específicamente al problema de la huella ambiental que deja el ser humano al pasar por el mundo. Sino algún otro tipo de problema que el tuvo que enfrentar. Sin embargo yo creo que esto que él dice se puede aplicar a cualquier problema que exista y que pueda llegar a ocurrir. Ya que para poder resolverlo hay que mirarlo desde otro lado para poder encontrar la solución.
  A mi me parece que tanto la frase de Einstein, como el documental están tratando de dar el mismo mensaje, que en este caso es que para poder resolver el problema ambiental que ocurrió a causa de los seres vivos, y las cosas que hacen permanentemente para poder sobrevivir, primero hay que reconocerlo. De esta manera será más fácil concientizar a la gente para que reduzca su huella y cambiarles la visión que tienen sobre el problema, para poder encontrarle una solución al mismo.

              

Juanito Laguna

 Hoy en día hay una enorme cantidad de chicos que están viviendo en muy malas condiciones, en las calles y que juegan en barrales llenos de basura. Antonio Berni vio esto y quiso hacer algo al respecto desde el lugar en el que el se encuentra, el arte. Es por eso que él creó a “Juanito Laguna” un chico pobre que vive en condiciones deplorables que representa a  todos los chicos que hoy viven en esas condiciones. Para demostrar esto en sus cuadros, Berni utiliza materiales que encuentra en los bordes de las villas, que se encuentran colmados de basura debido a que los grandes ciudades a las que las mismas rodean desechan abundantes cantidades de productos. Esto sucede ya que la obsolescencia programada genera una gran cantidad de basura ya que los productos están hechos para no durar y enriquecer a quienes los producen. Esto sumado al consumismo que hay en la sociedad generan esos sucias ambientes para que viva toda la gente que representa Juanito Laguna.
